The City council, in October, adopted a number of amendments <br />to the ci ty' s sign ordinance. Items concerning seasonal <br />banners and institutional signs (churches, parks, etc.) were <br />continued for further discussion. The Planning Commission <br />has completed their review of these matters and will be <br />presenting them to the Council at the January Work Session. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City Council discuss this matter <br />with the Planning Commission at the January Work Session. <br />Roseville churches have been notified because of their <br />interest in provisions relating to permanent and temporary <br />signs as well as off premise directional signs. Roseville <br />car dealers have also been notified of the Work Session <br />because of their concerns with temporary signs and banners. <br />The Council has acted on window signage issues raised by the <br />car dealers at a previous meeting. <br /> <br />2. It is recommended that the City Council continue the hearing <br />on the amendments to the City's sign ordinance concerning <br />seasonal banners and institutional signs until January 25, <br />1993. <br /> <br />Council Action Requested: <br /> <br />1. Motion to continue a public hearing concerning seasonal <br />banners and institutional signs until January 25, 1993. <br />
