<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on Monday, the 27th <br />day of August, 2001, at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Klausing, Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka, Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9927 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR ROSELAWN <br />CEMETERY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CREMATORY FACILITY ON PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 803 LARPENTEUR AVENUE (PF3315) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an application was submitted by Roselawn Cemetery for consideration of a <br />Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of a I, 800 square foot crematory facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the application is for property located at 803 Larpenteur Avenue, legally described <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />A portion of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of the <br />Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 29, Range 23, Ramsey County Minnesota, <br />(PID # 142923430001) and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after due notice the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing <br />regarding the conditional use permit application in accordance with state law and city ordinance on, at <br />which time oral and written testimony was presented by the applicant, its agents, residents, and other <br />interested persons, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the public hearing the Roseville Planning Commission voted <br />to recommend that the City Council approve the conditional use permit, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council at its regular Council meeting on July 23rd received the Planning <br />Commission's recommendation, further written and oral testimony from the applicant and other <br />interested persons, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council continued the matter to its August 13th regular council meeting to <br />allow for the submission of additional information from interested persons, and upon consideration of <br />the application and supporting materials, the staff report, and all other information constituting the <br />record of this application, and upon further deliberation, the Council voted 4-1 to deny the conditional <br />use permit, and directed the City Attorney to prepare findings and this resolution as a contemporaneous <br />record of the Council's decision, <br />
