He claims that he has experienced drainage problems since t~nW~ <br />lots south west of him (one of which Is ours) have had portions of thelJ.. l.ots <br />f 11 I ed . <br /> <br />To address his concerns, we took pictures of the small creek flowing a\ the. <br />north slde'of our property, we requested our surveyor to' provide elevation <br />levels of our property, and we called upon the Minnesota Department of^~atura~ <br />Resources (DNR) to Investigate our property as to wetland regulations. ., <br /> <br />The enclosed photos visually present to you a runoff creek flowing In a <br />westerly direction north of our property. The stream emp,ties Into Llt~:je <br />Joseph I ne. The dra I nage stream was there when we purchased our property. I;n <br />1969 and we have never disturbed It. The fill we had placed on our prqperty <br />in 1985 ends at a distance of 50 feet In fran our northern property I I.~. <br />Trees and natural wil dll fe fill thl s 50 foot stretch and we refer to I t -as. In addition. we have also provided a holding pond for runoff'on. <br />the northern part of our property. . <br /> <br />OUr surveyor, Kemper & Associates Inc., found the elevation at "the north~~~. <br />border of our property to be 895 feet above sea level, and found the elevatlon. <br />where our daughter would like to build her hane at 905 feet above sea l~v~I.. <br /> <br />DNR representative Marty Rye came out to evaluate ou~ p~ope~ty. He satd ~-~~ <br />our property south of the tree line Is not wetlands. It was Rye's oplnlo~ . <br />that we are not going to disturb wetlands by building a hane on the dlv.Jded., <br />northern portion of our lot as long as we stay south of the tree line.
