<br />2001 North AldineStreet <br />Aoseville, Mn. 55113 <br />May 19, 1993 <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Vern Johnson and Council Members Joanne Cushman, JDhn <br />Goedeke, Pat Johnson and Dean Maschke <br /> <br />Dear Ladies and Gentlemen: <br /> <br />This letter concerns the request by Patricia Curtiss fDr a <br />Special Use Permit to Dperate a beauty shop in her home. While <br />we are opposed to such an activity in a residential neighborhood, <br />it seems that under the present ordinance, a Special Use Permit is <br />a right, not a privilege. Until the ordinance can be changed, and <br />we hope this is done very promptly, we would be willing to accept <br />the granting Df this permit under the following conditions. <br /> <br />1. It shall be granted for a limited term of one (preferably) or <br />two years only. <br /> <br />2. There shall be no sign of any kind Dn or Dff the premises. <br /> <br />3. There shall be no more than 15-20 hours of business conducted <br />per week. (This was the amount originally requested by Curtiss <br />until the Planning Commission gratuitously raised it to 30) . <br /> <br />4. Client cars must be parked in t~~ driveway. <br /> <br />5. Business hours shall be between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM Dn weekdays, <br />before nDon on Saturday, and none on Sunday. <br /> <br />6. The permit is issued to Ms. Curtiss only, and Dnly while she <br />resides at 1987 Aldine. <br /> <br />7. There shall be no product sales on site, except for sale of <br />product to individuals at the time service is rendered. <br /> <br />8.
