The City has previously granted a special use permit for <br />truck engine repair at 1975 Oakcrest Avenue by Interstate <br />Diesel. Interstate Diesel no longer operates on the site. <br />Boyer Ford Trucks now wants to lease the building and expand <br />the use to include body work. Because of this expansion and <br />use, a new special use permit is necessary. <br /> <br />2. The Planning commission, on a 4-1 vote, recommended approval <br />of Boyer Ford Trucks request for a special use permit at 1975 <br />Oakcrest Avenue with the following conditions: <br /> <br />A. That one half of the gravel parking area be paved within <br />12 months. <br /> <br />B. That landscaping be brought up to code within six <br />months. <br /> <br />3. The applicants have submitted a revised plan which meets the <br />conditions recommended by the Planning commission. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. Deny the special use permit based on the finding that the <br />proposal would be detrimental to the general health, safety, <br />and welfare. <br /> <br />2. Approve the proposal based on the finding that the proposed <br />special use permit would not be detrimental to the general <br />health, safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />policv Ob;ectives: <br /> <br />1. To insure development occurs consistent with the City's <br />comprehensive plan and zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />2. To grant special use permits where it is demonstrated that <br />the proposed use would not be detrimental to the general <br />health, safety, and welfare. <br />
