Our intentions are to relocate our <br />BOdy Shop operation from 8651 Naples Street N.E., Blaine to the old Interstate <br />Detroit Diesel Shop on Oakcrest. We must vacate the Blaine facility no later then <br />May 31,1993. <br /> <br />The present owner of the building is not willing to sell the building to us, so we <br />have an agreement to lease the Duilding for a minimum of five (5) years, with an <br />option for five (5) more. We would anticipate moving out after the tenth (10) year. <br /> <br />We currently employ 16 people in our Body Shop and would expect an increase <br />in personnel count at the new location. The vast majority of employees have <br />been em'p'loyed by us for well over 10 years. We hope tliat the Conditional Use <br />Permit will be granted so we may keep these people employed. <br /> <br />Our Body Shop business, should not create any traffic problems as the vast <br />majority of the jobs we do are on pickup trucks, vans and personal vehicles. We <br />are NOT an automotive dealership that takes in fiJty (50) to one hundred (100) <br />cars'8'Oay for service. Five vehicles a day would be a big day for us. <br /> <br />Our present plans for the inside of the building call for the i'nstallation of two (2) <br />"state of the art" paint spray booths, a paint storage room and installation of a <br />sprinkler system throughout the building. All of wnich will be. installed to meet <br />local, State and Federal regulations.
