Minnesota

Dear Mr. Copt:

STS Consultants. Ltd. has completed the soil exploration at the Former Lexington School.
The soil exploration was conducted to determine the potential for petroleum product leakage
from the two 10.000 gallon underground storage tanks. One tank was installed in J 951 and
the second tank was installed in 1957.

No evidence of petroleum contamination was detected at the site during the soil
exploration. The following sections outline the procedures employed and the results
obtained from the soil exploration.

Introduction

Independent School District #623 (ISD #623) recently sold the former Lexington School site.
Due to the sale of the property. ISD #623 requested a soil exploration to address the
potential for product leakage from the two 10.000 gallon underground storage tanks at the
site.

Three underground fuel oil storage tanks are known to exist at the former Lexington School.
One tank is scheduled to be removed during the summer of 1991. The soil exploration was
requested by ISD #623 to assist in determining the condition of Tank # I and Tank #2 which
are to remain in-place. Tank information for the former Lexington School is summarized in
Table I.

sn Consultent.
