<br />Tank Closure Documentation <br />for the former Lexington School, <br />Independent School District #623 <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Roseville School District (ISD #623) contracted STS Consultants, Ltd. to provide <br />engineering services for tank removal activities at the fonner Lexington School located at <br />1130 W. County Road B. Roseville. This report documents STS's observations. soil moni- <br />toring and sampling at the site. <br /> <br />The scope of services provided by STS included observation of tank removal activities, <br />monitoring for contamination in the soil, and compliance monitoring of the construction <br />activities. Tank removal activities at Lexington School occurred on May 2, 1991. <br /> <br />STS Consultants. Ltd. prepared the quote specifications for the removal of one underground <br />storage tank. The contractor's scope of work included the excavation, removal and disposal <br />of one underground storage tank and associated piping. The contractor was responsible for <br />backfilling and reconstructing the site in general confonnance with the original site <br />configuration. The specific scope of work is detailed in the "Invitation to Quote for <br />Underground Storage Tank Removal", STS Project 95192-XF dated February 14. 1991. <br /> <br />Five contractors quoted the tank removal work. STS reviewed the quotes in reference to <br />lump sum price, unit rate costs, methods of disposal, project experience, and time require- <br />ments. <br /> <br />Based on this review. the contract was awarded to Petro Tank Services. They appeared to <br />have the experience and knowledge to perfonn the work and their work schedule indicated <br />that the project could be completed within a reasonable amount of time. <br />
