MEMORANDUM

Fro m:

January 26, 1994
Mike F~~
Tom Alleva

Date:

To:

Subject:

Advance Circuits Inc., 1633 Terrace I?rive

"',.4
! ,~ ...

As I indicated to you earlier, City Planning staff has been working for some
time with Advance Circuits Inc. in the noise tliat their operation generates..
Specifically, some of the roof top units and the operational aspects of this
industrial user have been causing problems to the neighbors to the north, across
Oasis Park. To reduce the noise levels, we have done a number of things,
including building a benn along the property line between their parking lot and
Oasis Park, building noise screens around their rooftop units, and importantly,
asking them to reduce their outside trucking and other activities, especially
during late night hours on the third shift.

Advance Circuits, Inc. have indicated tllat tlley will cease tlleir outside
operations during late night hours but this is hard for us to verify. If I could, I
would like to ask that you notify third shift officers to occasionally stop by
Advance Circuit's facility to see if any trucks or operations are going on in the
back of the building. At tllis point, we do not need any enforcement action but
rather just to report of any activity. This irifonnation would only have to
. include the date, the time, and whetller or not any activity was observed.

.
I really appreciate your help in tllis matter. It is anticipated that they will
receive their Certificate of Occupancy for the building expansion by mid
February, at which time we would no longer need to keep track of this.
Thanks, Tom.
