In the addition
we would like to put four of our allowable new units in the "attic" space, utilizing the
dormers that are a part of the overall design of the project. In the existing building these
dormers are ''blind'' or unused as is the attic space.

Technically this would constitute a fourth floor in the addition but again would not affect
the height of the addition, the number of permittable new units, nor the square footage.
All code issues would be met and the construction type would be unchanged.

You have indicated that this would be allowable as long as the height of the addition
matches the existing building and all codes are adhered to. Please let me know if this is
not your understartding of our conversation.

Sincerely,

BRW ELNESS ARCHITECTS, INC.

~
