The City ordinances require that before any building permit
can be obtained for construction on property which abuts a
lake, that a shoreline bui~~ing perm~t must be approved by the
City Council. '

2. Rosewood Estates is requesting a shoreline permit to allow
them to extend an existing retaining wall 60 feet, provide a
350 foot long asphalt walkway along the north side of the
existing building and to extend their parking lot to add two
parking stalls on the northeast corner of the parking lot.

3. Staff has reviewed this request and finds it to be a minor
alteration which would not adversely affect the lake and would
be consistent with lakeshore ordinance requirements.

Alternatives:

1. Deny the shoreline permit and require that the site be
maintained as it currently is.

2. Approve the shoreline permit as requested.

Policy Obiectives:

1. To insure that dev~lopments adj acent to lakes do not adversely
affect lakes.

Staff Recommendation:

~ . Tt is recommended that the' cl ty Council approve Rosewood
Estates request for a shorerine permit as requested at 2750 N.
victoria Street. '
