RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ESTABLISHING A COMMITMENT BY THE CITY TO ADOPT AND ADMINISTER AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY'S LAND USE CONTROLS AND STORM WATER PLAN TO ADDRESS THE METROPOLITAN COUNCILtS INTERIM STRATEGY TO REDUCE NONPOINT POLLUTION TO ALL METROPOLITAN BODIES '" * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 26th day of July , 1993 at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Cushman, P. Johnson, Goedeke, and V. Johnson, and the fOllowing were absent: . .' Maschka. Member Cushman adopted. moved that the following resolution be RESOLUTION NO. 8961 WHEREAS, the college Properties Inc. request for a comprehensive plan amendment was approved by the Roseville City council on May 24, 1993, subject to review and approval by the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, the College Properties, Inc. request for a comprehensive plan amendment was received by the Metropolitan Council on June. 4, 1993; and WHEREAS, in a letter dated June 16, 1993, the City was informed by the Metropolitan Council that its application for a comprehensive plan amendment is incomplete because it does not include information indicating that the city has adopted the Metropolitan Council's INTERIM STRATEGY TO REDUCE NONPOINT POLLUTION TO ALL METROPOLITAN WàT~R BODIES; and WHEREAS, the Roseville city Council has been informed of the requirements set forth in the Metropolitan Council's INTERIM STijATEGY TO REDUCE NONPOINT POLLUTION TO ALL METROPOLITAN WATER BODIES, and recognizes that the City I S land use controls and stormwater plan must be amended to address the measures established by the strategy to gain approval of the College Properties, Inc. comprehensive plan amendment by the Metropolitan Council. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city Council of the City of Roseville as follows: 1. The City of Roseville will apply National Urban Runoff Program (NURP) standards for the design of new storm water ponds and he MPCA urban best management practices ti tled Protecting Water Quality in urban Areas to review of any proposed development occurring in the City to reduce nonpoint source pollutant loadings in storm water runoff.
