<br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ESTABLISHING A COMMITMENT BY THE CITY TO ADOPT AND <br />ADMINISTER AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY'S LAND USE CONTROLS AND <br />STORM WATER PLAN TO ADDRESS THE METROPOLITAN COUNCILtS <br />INTERIM STRATEGY TO REDUCE NONPOINT POLLUTION TO ALL <br />METROPOLITAN BODIES <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City <br />council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was <br />duly held on the 26th day of July , 1993 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, P. Johnson, Goedeke, <br />and V. Johnson, and the fOllowing were absent: <br /> <br />. .' <br />Maschka. <br /> <br />Member Cushman <br />adopted. <br /> <br />moved that the following resolution be <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8961 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the college Properties Inc. request for a <br />comprehensive plan amendment was approved by the Roseville City <br />council on May 24, 1993, subject to review and approval by the <br />Metropolitan Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the College Properties, Inc. request for a <br />comprehensive plan amendment was received by the Metropolitan <br />Council on June. 4, 1993; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in a letter dated June 16, 1993, the City was <br />informed by the Metropolitan Council that its application for a <br />comprehensive plan amendment is incomplete because it does not <br />include information indicating that the city has adopted the <br />Metropolitan Council's INTERIM STRATEGY TO REDUCE NONPOINT <br />POLLUTION TO ALL METROPOLITAN WàT~R BODIES; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville city Council has been informed of the <br />requirements set forth in the Metropolitan Council's INTERIM <br />STijATEGY TO REDUCE NONPOINT POLLUTION TO ALL METROPOLITAN WATER <br />BODIES, and recognizes that the City I S land use controls and <br />stormwater plan must be amended to address the measures <br />established by the strategy to gain approval of the College <br />Properties, Inc. comprehensive plan amendment by the Metropolitan <br />Council. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city Council of the <br />City of Roseville as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City of Roseville will apply National Urban Runoff <br />Program (NURP) standards for the design of new storm water <br />ponds and he MPCA urban best management practices ti tled <br />Protecting Water Quality in urban Areas to review of any <br />proposed development occurring in the City to reduce <br />nonpoint source pollutant loadings in storm water runoff. <br />
