2553 Fisk St.
Roseville, Mn. 55113
May 12, 1994

Roseville City Council
City Hall
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, Mn. 55113

Dear Members of the Roseville City Council:

I, together with other residents of the neighborhood between Dale and Victoria,
just south of County Road C, wish to express our opposition to the proposed
land use change from low density tq.¡medium density residence of the property
bounded by County Road C on the North, Dale St. on the East, Central Park on
the South, and the western boundary of the Kehr property on the West.

Many of us were initially attracted to this area of Roseville because of its open
spaces, wildlife, and sense of neighborhood. These attributes are being
threatened with the proposed land use change. There has already been
considerable development of surrounding neighborhoods, such as those along
Dale and Lexington, into higher density zones, and we would be sad to see this
trend continue further, particularly in the proposed location. Our roads are
already so full of traffic that it is often difficult to gain access to them.
Similarly, nearby parks are often full, unless you wish to enjoy them during a
storm or cold snap. The development of this area would also restrict the
habitat of Roseville's wildlife. It has been suggested that this development
might be more palatable if a road (Rose Place) did not go through to the West.
This might be of some help, but would not address our major concerns of
overdevelopment and congestion.

In summary, we are disl¡eartend to see the very things that attracted us to
Roseville and to our neighborhood threatened. We ask that this area remain
designated for single dwelling residences, to maintain the sense of beauty,
access, and community that Roseville has been known for in the past. Thank
you for your consideration.

ResectfuUy yours,

~

Dwenda Gjerdingen

S etZ.- Q -\t(Ác. ~ ~J f-ß- 5 eS Qr ajJc1 iTì D vtld st.,V\.~ f¿.cY'E's,
