City ordinances require that driveways be setback at least 5 feet from side lot
lines.

2, Because of the street improvements currently underway by the City of Roseville,
Mr. and Mrs. Finney's driveway is not in compliance and requires a 21 foot minor
variance. To bring the driveway into compliance would require reconstruction to
a point within 30 feet of the Fairview Avenue right-of-way. The Finney driveway
is unique in that it has an inlaid brick design.

3. The Minor Variance Committee unanimously recommended approval of the
variance. It was the Committee's belief that to reconstruct the driveway would
create a hardship for the owners.

4, All affected adjacent property owners indicated their approval of the proposed
varIance.

Alternatives:

'1. Deny the variance based on the finding that no hardship or practical difficulty
exists on the site.

2. Grant the variance based on the finding that a hardship or practical difficulty is
present on the site.
