City ordinances require that garages be setback at least 30 feet from rear property <br />lines. <br /> <br />2. Mr. PooladianKari and Ms. Hardesty plan to add a new 3-car garage on their <br />property that will require a 4 foot rear yard minor variance and a 1 foot front yard <br />variance, construct a new driveway which will enter from Rosedale Drive, and <br />turn the existing tuck under garage into an additional bedroom for their autistic <br />child. <br /> <br />3. The Minor Variance Committee unanimously recommended approval of the <br />variance. It was the Committee's belief that the location of the new garage will <br />allow the owner to accomodate the needs of their autistic child and will also save <br />a bearing apple tree and mature grape vines on their property. <br /> <br />4. All affected adjacent property owners indicated their approval of the proposed <br />vanance. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. Deny the variance based on the fmding that no hardship or practical difficulty <br />exists on the site. <br /> <br />2. Grant the variance based on the finding that a hardship or practical difficulty is <br />
