<br />On homes built after March 27, 1994, new deck additions extending toward
<br />lakes, ponds and wetlands must meet the same setback as the structure. There
<br />is a "grandfather clausen for deck additions on homes built before the adoption
<br />of the original ordinance (March, 1974). However, in no case, may a new
<br />deck on an old home be closer than 30 feet to the shore.
