At their regular meeting of August 10, 1994, the Planning Commission continued consideration of this item until the September 14, 1994 meeting to allow further investigation concerning parking setback issues and the design of the facility pylon sign. Since that time, the applicant has been working with Ramsey County to finalize right-of- way dedication requirements along Lexington Avenue. The County needs approximately 6 feet of right-of-way along the southern half of this property but has excess property to the north. The applicants and the County are trying to negotiate a trade at this time and this property w~uld probably provide the opportunity to incorporate the parking setback required by the City ordinance. 2. Because the negotiations for the right-of-way are not complete, the applicant has asked that this item be continued to the Planning Commission's October 12, 1994 mee~ing and the City Council's October 24, 1994 meeting. Staff Recommendations: 1. It is recommended that the City Council continue the public hearing on the request for a special use permit for light automobile repair at 3114 N. Lexington Avenue until the October 24, 1994 City Council meeting. Council Action Requested: 1. Motion to continue consideration ofNaftalia Alkali's request for a special use permit for light automobile repair at 3114 N. Lexington Avenue until the October 24, 1994 City Council meeting.
