Leaking Waste Container <br /> <br />When opening the trunk of a participant's car, a waste technician <br />notices a strong odor, and some staining on a container. <br /> <br />2. Waste Reaction <br /> <br />While removing containers from a car, a waste technician notices a <br />strong odor and fumes, and sees several open containers that have <br />spilled. <br /> <br />3. Medical Emergency - I <br /> <br />While a participant opens the trunk of their car, the react to an <br />odor from some chemicals that have spilled in the trunk. <br /> <br />4. Medical Emergency - II with Spill <br /> <br />A participant who has walked to the collection site with waste <br />trips and falls in the parking lot. The person has cut their arm <br />and knee and is bleeding. Some of the containers they were <br />carrying have broken. <br /> <br />5. Unlabeled Waste and a Language Barrier <br /> <br />A resident with limited English language skills brings in several <br />unlabeled containers that cannot readily be identified. An <br />interpreter mayor may not be available. <br /> <br />6. Highly Reactive Material <br /> <br />A participant brings in a container with a small amount of picric <br />acid. <br /> <br />7. Site Evacuation <br /> <br />During site operation, there arises the need to evacuate all <br />vehicles, even those waiting in line. <br />
