<br />Reasons for driveway variance at 2265 Marion Road, Rosevi1le <br /> <br />This driveway which accomodates an attached three car garage <br /> <br />has been in existance for over twenty years with no objections <br /> <br />from any neighbors. The property does not face another home <br /> <br />and does not appear odd in relation to it's relationship to <br /> <br />the home itself or to any other homes in this area since the <br /> <br />homes are fairly widely spaced. <br /> <br />Safety is of primary concern since Marion Road is a narrow, <br /> <br />winding street with a rather blind curve just before this <br /> <br />driveway. The homeowner entertains frequently and all the guests <br /> <br />are able to park in the driveway easily thus keeping the public <br /> <br />street free from the obstacles of parked cars along the curve. <br /> <br />The homeowner also parks a large boat and it's trailer plus <br /> <br />another trailer in the garages. Moving these items in and out <br /> <br />would become very difficult should the drive be narrowed. Part <br /> <br />of the convenience of having the three stalls and the wide drive <br /> <br />also keeps these unsightly items from being left out which would <br /> <br />pos,ibly generate complaints from neighbors. <br /> <br />The snow removal is handled by contract with a plowing service. <br /> <br />Plowing the drive would become much more difficult and placement <br /> <br />of the piles of snow would be more hazardous if the entrance to <br /> <br />the driveway were narrowed. <br /> <br />Resale value of the property should also be a consideration.
