STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF ROSEVILLE AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING A PERMIT AND ASSESSMENT OF FEES FOR THE PLACEMENT OF MICRO CELLS AND PICO CELLS OR OTHER FORMS OF ~RANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING TELEPHONIC, TELEPHONE, TELEPOINT, PAGING OR SIMILAR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SERVICES ON OR WITHIN THE RIGHTS OF WAY AND ESTABLISHING A PERMITTING PROCESS TO PROVIDE FOR THESE DEVICES IN COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS NOT ZONED FOR THIS PURPOSE i AND ADDING CHAPTER TO THE CITY CODE. The City Council of the City of Roseville ordains: SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE This Ordinance shall be known and may be cited a$ the Wireless Communications System Permit Ordinance. SECTION 2. REQUIREMENTS A. Permit Requirement No person, firm or corporation whether public, private, nonprofit or not for profit shall constr~ct, operate or continue to operate a Wireless Communications System which occupies any part of the easements, streets, public ways and public places within the City without having been issued a Wireless Telecommunications Permit by the City. B. Compensation Requirements Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be a term and condition of any Wireless Telecommunications Permit issued in accordance herewith, that, as a part of the consideration supporting the issuance of such Wireless Telecommunications Permit and the City's permission to occupy and use the easements, streets, public ways I public places and rights of way, that the Permittee agrees and shall pay to the City compensation and permit fees as set out below. -- (1) Permit Request Fee All applicants shall pay a permit request fee of $50.00 per cell site or a minimum of $300.00 whichever is greater. 1
