a. Point A: Located by extending the curb lines (or pavement edges where there are no curbs) of the <br />street and driveway toward the intersection until the curb lines meet. <br />b. Point B: Located on the curb line of the driveway 10 feet from Point A. <br />c. Point C: Located on the curb line of the street 10 feet from Point A. <br />4. Intersections of Driveways (or Alleys) with Sidewalks (or Paths): The visibility triangle for the <br />intersection of a driveway shall be described as follows: <br />a. Point A: Located at the intersection of the driveway and sidewalk. <br />b. Point B: Located on the edge of the sidewalk 5 feet from Point A. <br />c. Point C: Located on the curb line (or pavement edge, if no curb is present) of the driveway 5 feet <br />from Point A. <br />F. Prohibitions: The following restrictions apply to all visibility triangles: <br />1. No structures shall be erected except for fences, walls, or berms not exceeding 30 inches in height as <br />measured from the top of the curb (or pavement edge where there is no curb) immediately adjacent to <br />the triangle area; <br />2. No motor vehicle, trailer, or other equipment shall be allowed to park, stand, or stop; and <br />3. No vegetation shall be planted or allowed to grow higher than 30 inches as measured from the top of <br />the curb (or pavement edge where there is no curb) immediately adjacent to the triangle area. <br />1011.07 Height Exemptions in All Districts: <br />A. The building and structure height limitations established for each zoning district shall apply to all <br />buildings and structures, except that the following shall be exempt from said height limitation: <br />1. Church spires <br />2. Belfries <br />3. Cupolas and domes which do not contain usable space <br />4. Monuments <br />5. Water towers <br />6. Fire and hose towers <br />7. Observation towers <br />8. Flagpoles <br />9. Electrical transmission towers <br />10. Chimneys <br />11. Smokestacks <br />12. Parapet walls extending not more than 3 feet above the limiting height of the building <br />13. Cooling towers <br />14. Grain elevators <br />15. Elevator penthouses <br />B. Exception: If, in the opinion of the Community Development Department, such structure would <br />adversely affect adjacent property, such greater height shall not be authorized except by the City Council <br />pursuant to the appeals procedure established in Section 1009.08. <br />1011.08 Fences in All Districts: <br />A. General Requirements: Fences maybe constructed, placed, or maintained in any yard or adjacent to a lot <br />line in accordance with these requirements. <br />1. The owner of the property upon which a fence is located shall be responsible for locating all property <br />lines prior to constructing said fence. <br />2. All fence posts and supporting members shall be placed within the property lines of the property on <br />which the fence is located. <br />3. Fences in front yards shall not exceed 4 feet in height. Notwithstanding this limitation, fences in front <br />yards which are adjacent to the side or rear yards of abutting lots may be as tall at 6.5 feet. <br />4. Fence height shall be measured from the average grade adjacent to the bottom of the fence to the top <br />
