<br />
<br />This work shall consist of the construotion of pipe sewers
<br />. utilizing plant fabricated pipe and other appurtenant,materials,
<br />installed for conveyanoe of sewage or industrial wastes. The
<br />work includes construction of manhole structures and,other
<br />related items as specified.
<br />
<br />All references to MnDOT ,specifications shall mean the latest
<br />published edition of the Minnesota Department ,of ~ransportation
<br />-standard Specifications for Highway Construction, as modified by
<br />any MnDOT Supplemental Speoifications edition ,published prior to
<br />the date of advertisement for bids. All references to other
<br />Specifications of 'AAsBTO, ASTM, ANSI, AWWA., etc. shall mean the
<br />latest published edition available on the date of advertisement
<br />for bids.

<br />402.0 ~~~~IALS
<br />
<br />All materials required for this work shall be new material
<br />conforming to requirements of the referenced spec~fic~tions for
<br />the class, kind, type,'size, grade, and other details indicated
<br />in the Contract. ' Un~ess otherwise, in4icated, all, required
<br />materials shall be furnished by the- CONTRACTOR.' If any options
<br />are provided for, as to type, grade, or ' ,design of the material,
<br />the choice shall be limited as may be stipulated in the Plans or
<br />Special Provisions.

<br />'~':' ,',' All manufactured' produets shall confon in detai'l ~o sUQh
<br />standard design drawings as may be'referenoed or furnished in
<br />,the Plans. o'therwise, the Department may require advanc~
<br />approval of material suppliers, product design, or other
<br />unspecified details as it deems desirable for maint~ining
<br />adopted standards.

<br />402.1 ~
<br />
<br />All pipe furnished f~r main sewer and servioe line installations
<br />shall be,of the type, 'kind, size, and class 'indicated for each
<br />particular line segment as 'shown in the p~ans and designated in
<br />: the Contract. IteJls. Wherever connection of dissimilar materials
<br />, . ,or designs is reciui~ed, 'the~ method of joining and any special
<br />tittin9s employed shall be subject t() approval by the ENGINEER.

<br />All a" and-l0" sanitary sewer pj,pe shall be either V.C.P.,
<br />A.S.T.H. Designation C-200-T (extra strength)or_PVC, A.S.T.M.
<br />D-3034~72. Pipe'and,fitting~ shall meet extra strength minimum
<br />of DRS-35.
<br />
<br />Material service connections shall be 4" C.I.S.P. extra-heavy
<br />rl;,,(.~, ;;: weight, ASTH 1-8, ASTM A-438, AsTM A-126 or 4" PVC, Class 150,
<br />(: 'd'f~:{>~,!,,) ASTM D-2241.
