DEFLECTION TEST upon completion of sewer construction and backfill, the CONTRACTOR will pull a mandrel through all lines 12" and smaller. Any section of the pipe that the mandrel' will not pass through shall be repaired 13Y the CON'I'RACTOR at his own expense. The mandrel shall have a diameter equal to 95% of the inside diameter of the pipe. No pipe shall 'exceed a deflection of 5% at inside diameter. The deflection testing shall be done at least thirty (30) days following installation. ,No mechanical devices shall be used _to pull the mandrel through the pipe. ' METHOD OF MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT Sewer pip~ Sewer pipe ~f each diameter and cla~sification furnished and installed shall be measured by the linear foot regardless of the excavation depth., Measurements will be made along the centerline of the pipe 'from center to center of manholes or junction fittings. Sewer pipe will be paid for at the contract price per lineal foot. Service Connections . Wyes, double wyes, and the branches of each diameter and - . classification furnished and installed will be measured as a unit and paid for at the contract unit price. Service Pipe Sewer pipe used for services and ~isers of each diameter and classification furnished and installed will be measured separately by length in linear feet and paid for at the contract unit price. ManhQles Manholes wil'l be measured from flowline to top of casting. Break into Existi~g ~anbole Break into existing manhole will be measured as a unit and paid for at the contract unit price. ~~nhole Frames and covers Manhole frames and c~vers will be measured by the unit and paid for at the contract unit price.
