<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 26th day of November 2001, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Mastel, Goedeke, Klausing and Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9955 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 2-112 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION l004.01A8 OF <br />THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE ALLOWING A GARDEN SHED ENCROACHMENT <br />INTO THE REQUIRED FIVE FOOT SIDE YARD SETBACK FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 2993 FAIRVIEW AVENUE (PF 3349). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James Telstad has requested a 2-1/2 foot variance to Section 1004.01A8 of <br />the Roseville City Code to allow the replacement of an existing garden shed 2-1/2 feet from the <br />side (west) property line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mr. Telstad's property is located at 2993 Fairview Avenue, legally <br />described as: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Rohleder's Oak Grove, Ramsey County, Minnesota (PIN: #042923240025). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A8 reads as follows: Minimum Setbacks: A garden shed <br />and/or an accessory building shall be set back a minimum of 5 feet from a side yard or a rear <br />yard lot line and a minimum of 6 feet from any other building or structure on the same lot or <br />parcel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Telstad desires to place the new garden shed in the same location as the <br />existing shed which is 2-1/2 feet from the west property line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the <br />variance request by Mr. Telstad and voted (5-0) to recommend approval ofthe request based on <br />findings outlined in Section 4 and 5, and the conditions stipulated in section 6 of the project <br />report dated 11/14/01. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Mr. <br />James Telstad, 2993 Fairview Avenue, a 2-1/5 foot variance to Section 1004.01A8 of the <br />Roseville City Code based on the findings stipulated in section 4 and 5, and the conditions <br />stipulated in section 6 ofthe project report dated 11/26/01. <br /> <br />1 <br />
