Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br />encouraged. <br />2. Approval of Minutes of the March 2, 2010 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of March 2, 2010. Please be prepared to approve or <br />amend. <br />Requested Commission Action <br />: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of March 2, 2010. <br />3. Introduction and Oath of Office for New Commissioners <br />Erin Azer and Randall Doneen were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission by <br />the City Council on Monday, March 22, 2010. Chair Willmus will officially swear in Erin and <br />Randall. We welcome both of them to the Commission and thank them for their interest in <br />Roseville Parks and Recreation. Erin and Randall and all Commissioners will briefly introduce <br />themselves and their background. <br />Requested Commission Action: <br /> Welcome to Erin Azer and Randall Doneen and brief <br />introduction of all Commissioners. <br />4. Preliminary 2011 budget discussions <br />Budget 2011 discussions are beginning. For the 2010 budget, the City made efforts in <br />changing the budgeting process to a modified “budgeting for outcomes”. As the 2011 budget is <br />underway, the approach will be similar but will focus more on “program budgeting”. Included in <br />your packet is a broad listing of general program categories in each Parks and Recreation <br />Division for your information, review and advice. <br />As staff begins to prepare the budget your input and advice now and along the way is <br />important and valued. Please be prepared to give input to staff as to the new process, what <br />Park and Recreation items or offerings you value, need more or less resources and/or items or <br />offerings you think should be reevaluated. <br />Requested Commission Action: <br />Discussion, input and suggestions <br />5. Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update <br />The Parks and Recreation Master Plan process continues. Commission members that are on <br />the Citizen Advisory Team (CAT) and staff will be prepared to give you an update on the <br />progress. Included in your packet are some latest documents outlining a way to organize the <br />Parks and Recreation System. Specifically, the items are: <br />1- Master Plan Vision Boards <br />2- Trail network and constellation map <br />3- Pathway Master Plan <br />4- Park component inventory <br />5- Park components by park type <br />6- Existing services per constellation <br />7- Park zone services <br /> <br />
