Parks & Recreation
Parks Concept Plan Community Workshop
Wednesday, May 19 ~ 6:30-9:30pm
Roseville Skating Center
While a concept plan is not a blueprint for construction, it demonstrates how a park might change to
meet the needs of the community and its surrounding neighborhood. A concept plan for a park
frames the general organization of park components and looks at how people move within and
between parks, and helps determine potential costs and implementation methods. While full funding
to implement concept plans is not available, having a concept is a key part of the overall master
planning process, and will help define how the desired improvements might be realized.
As a part of the master planning process for Roseville’s park and recreation system, concept plans
will be developed for several parks in our community. We want your help in this process, provide
your insight and local knowledge to help guide the creation of concepts for selected parks and
segments of our community. Neighbors will be asked to work together to generate at least two
broad ideas for how their park might be enhanced. Your insights will provide direction to the Citizen
Advisory Team and master planning team that can serve as the basis for more detailed concept
planning work.
Community Meeting #4
Sharing the Master Plan Draft
Parks Concept Plan Open House
Wednesday, June 23 ~ 7:00-9:30pm
Wednesday, June 2 ~ 7:00-9:00pm
Roseville Skating Center
Roseville Skating Center
We are excited to share the draft Parks and
Comment on concept plans developed by the
Recreation Master Plan with the community.
Master Plan Design Team using the ideas and
During the past ten months the Citizen Advisory
suggestions made during the May 19 Concept
Team has volunteered hundreds of hours and
Plan Workshop and through information
collected information from thousands of
gathered by the Master Plan Citizen Advisory
Roseville residents to create a vision for the
Team.
future of Roseville Parks and Recreation.
For More Information Contact
Lonnie Brokke Jeff Evenson
Parks & Recreation Director Parks Superintendent
651-792-7101 651-792-7107
lonnie.brokke@ci.roseville.mn.us jeff.evenson@ci.roseville.mn.us www.cityofroseville.com/parks
