Parks and Recreation Department <br />To: Mayor, City Council Members and City Manager William Malinen <br />Cc Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission <br />From: Lonnie Brokke, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />th <br />Date: June 9, 2009 <br />th <br /> <br />Re: Joint Council/Commission Meeting on June 15, 2009 <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission are looking forward to the joint Commission/City <br />th <br />Council Meeting on Monday, June 15, 2009 at approximately 6:30 p.m. They have <br />recommended the following topics and points from which to work in the following order: <br />1) Overall Resources: <br />Staffing levels <br />Is a Parks and Recreation reserve fund, similar to the pavement management <br />fund, in our vision? <br />Discuss referendum following the planning process <br />2) Park Improvement Program (PIP)/Tree Program: <br />Use of Park intended funds for non Park related expenses i.e. street tree <br />removals <br />Resources for removal and for replacement <br />Emerald Ash Borer <br />3) Master planning: <br />Increase communication with the City Council <br />Commitment to capital asset, i.e. HANC <br />4) Exploration of: <br />Additional volunteers <br />Additional contributions and donations <br />Thanks for taking the time and interest in meeting with the Commission. <br /> <br />
