Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission <br />From: Lonnie Brokke <br />Re: Joint Council/Commission Meeting on June 16, 2008 <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission is looking forward to the joint Commission/City <br />Council Meeting on Monday, June 16"' 2008 at approximately 6:30 p.m. They have <br />recommended the following topics and points from which to work: <br />1) Master planning: <br />• How do the IR 2025 expectations affect our Parks and Recreation programs <br />and facilities? <br />• What is a realistic master planning process timeframe? <br />• What is a realistic implementation timeframe? <br />2) Funding: <br />• <br />Is a Parks and Recreation reserve fund, similar to the pavement management <br />fund, in our vision? <br />• is a Park and Recreation referendum in our vision? <br />• Is a sales tax option in our vision? <br />How can the above questions be incorporated into the master planning <br />process? <br />3) Park Improvement Program: <br />• What are the criteria for prioritizing staff, maintenance and new projects <br />within our budgetary constraints? <br />Thanks for taking the time and interest in meeting with the Commission. <br />
