Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br />encouraged. <br />2. Approval of Minutes of the May 5, 2009 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of May 5, 2009. Please be prepared to approve or amend. <br />Requested Commission Action <br />: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of May 5, 2009. <br />3. Department Review <br />Staff will present a review of the current and upcoming recreation programs, services and <br />projects. <br />Requested Commission Action <br />: Comments, questions and suggestions for recreation <br />programs, services and projects. <br />Discuss and Prepare for the Joint Commission/City Council Meeting <br />4. <br />The annual joint meeting of the City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission will be held <br />on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the City Council regular meeting. It will most likely be the first item <br />on the agenda at around 6:00 or 6:30 p.m for 30-40 minutes. It is very important that a realistic <br />agenda be set and that there be full attendance. This is your meeting with the City Council to <br />discuss areas of importance to you and the community, and to gather guidance from the them. <br />Garnering some discussion from your May meeting, I have included in your packet a draft memo <br />to be sent to the City Manager and City Council prior to the meeting to allow them time to think <br />about the topics. <br />Please be prepared to finalize the topics that you would like to discuss and the approach.
