SectionA:Personnel <br />SectionB:ProjectApproach;OverviewandWorkPlan <br />ParksandRecreationSystemMasterPlanUpdate <br />CityofRoseville,Minnesota <br />CJFernandez,ASLAhasovereightyearsofexperienceasalandscapearchitect.DuringthistimeCJhas <br />specializedinsitedesign,masterplanning,anddesigndevelopmentforpublicandprivateclients.His <br />portfolioofworkincludesparks,urbandesign,trails,sustainabledesign,regionalplanning,nature <br />center,memorialdesign,waterscapesaswellassubdivisions,transportationandrecreationalsite <br />design. <br />/W͸ƭdesignprioritiesarebasedoncommunityintegrationinthedesignprocess.Inhiswork,CJhasled <br />largepublicmeetings,communitiesandprivateclientsthroughinteractiveprocessesasameansof <br />activeengagementinthedesign.Throughtheuseoftechnologicalexpertiseandartisticrendering,CJ <br />hasuseddesignforcreativeproblemsolving,asacivicactor,forconceptualexpression,andduring <br />designdevelopment.Hehasworkedinawidevarietyofpresentationsituationsinbothlocaland <br />internationalcapacities.Hisexperienceinparkplanninganddesignincludesanecologicallysustainable <br />traildesignandinterpretiveprogramforCrosbyFarmNatureAreainSt.Paul,Minnesota;a200mile <br />recreationcorridoralongtheRedLakeRivercenteredonEastGrandForks,Minnesota;planningforthe <br />GitchiGamiTrailalongtheNorthShoreofLakeSuperior;andtheMinnesotaRiverStateTrailbetween <br />RedwoodFalls,NewUlm,andSt.Peter. <br /> <br /> <br />CJFernandezwillassistinthedevelopmentofthemasterplanandparticipateinpublicmeetings. <br />DanCornejo,Principal,CornejoConsulting,isanawardwinningcityplannerwiththreedecadesof <br />innovativethinkingandexperienceincommunityplanninganddesign,allofwhichhasbeen <br />characterizedbyinnovativeandinclusivepublicengagement.Afteranextensivecareerinpublicservice <br />anddirectingplanningservicesforamajorarchitectural/engineeringfirm,in2004Danestablishedhis <br />ownfirm,focusingonTwinCitiescommunities. <br />HehasworkedacrossNorthAmericainavarietyofurban,suburban,andruralsettingsindiverse <br />culturalandcommunitysituations.HehasservedasDirectorofPlanningandDesignforSt.Paul, <br />DevelopmentDirectorforRobbinsdale,andPlanningDirectorforStatenIsland,NY.Priortothat,heled <br />redevelopmentplanningforaformerCPRailsiteonthedowntownwaterfrontofVancouver,Canada <br />thathaswonnumerousawardsforitsextensiveanddiversepublicopenspaceandtrails.Mostrecently, <br />heledanextensiveneighborhoodstakeholderconsultationprocessinassessingimpactsofthe <br />UniversityofMinnesotaonsurroundingneighborhoods,aswellasorganizingandleadingthepublic <br />engagementprocessfortheEdinaComprehensivePlan.Overthepastthreeyearsoncontractwith <br />HennepinCounty,hehasbeeninvestigatingdaylightingportionsofBassett,Shingle,andBridalVeil <br />Creeks,workingwithstakeholderstofindwaystoincreasepublicaccessandenjoymentthroughtrail <br />andopenspaceconnections. <br />page3 <br /> <br />
