HANC is excited to announce a new, year-round, outdoor skills program designed specifically for women. These <br />classes will help you increase yourself -sufficiency and learn new skills in a non-competitive atmosphere taught by <br />other women. Come join us for a new adventure, or spend time with other women in an activity you already love! <br />Participants should dress for being outdoors and be prepared for moderate exercise. All necessary equipment <br />(except bikes) supplied. Age: 18+ years. TO REGISTER CALL 651-792-7110. <br />Bike Repair and Maintenance <br />Deduce your carbon footprint just in time for Earth Day! <br />Join an instructor for a quick maintenance check on your bike, <br />then learn how to change a flat and adjust your brakes. <br />Also get tips on how to keep your bike in good condition for summer! Learn the basic skills of <br />using a map and compass and how to apply them in the wilderness. Test your new <br />skills on a 1+ hour orienteering course. Set up a "releve" <br />plot and try field techniques for doing a community plant study, Enjoy watching the animals that may be <br />watching you! $15 #1250.203 Th Jul 10 7-9pm <br />gr <br />Boundary Waters Trip Planning <br />Prepare yourself for a camping adventure in one of the most beautiful wilderness areas of the U.5! Try a 2 -person <br />canoe lift, build a lasting campfire, and erect a 4 -person tent. Learn how to choose appropriate clothing, food, and <br />equipment, and about safety, permits and rules.
