Saturday, September 13, 2008 <br />9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. <br />A celebration of wild rice, Native American <br />culture, and Minnesota's fall season <br />Highlights include: <br />• Fundraising wild rice pancake breakfast <br />• Wild rice sausages, wild rice soup, fry bread, <br />and other tasty treats <br />• Demonstrations include traditional wild rice <br />harvesting and honey extraction <br />• Free entertainment including music, storytelling <br />and Native American dancing <br />• Special all -day visit by a bald eagle from the <br />• National Eagle Center, with presentations by <br />Duke Addicks, master storyteller <br />• Children's games and activities <br />• Hands-on apple cider pressing <br />• Silent auction, to raise funds to support <br />the Nature Center <br />• And much more! <br />As usual, no admission charge <br />The. 5th Annual Wild Rice Festival is presented by <br />volunteer members of the Friends of <br />Roseville's Harriet Alexander Nature Center <br />(FORHANC).
