Public participation and public comment is <br />encouraged. <br />2. Approval of Minutes of the August 51h, 2008 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of August 5th, 2008. Please be prepared to approve or <br />amend. <br />Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of August 5th, 2008. <br />3. Tour of Skating Center Arena Geothermal Project <br />This project is well underway and this will be a time for the Commission to tour the project first <br />hand and ask questions, make suggestions, comments, etc. <br />Requested Commission Action: Provide comments, suggestions, etc. <br />4. Comprehensive Plan Committee Update <br />Commissioner Johnson is your representative to the steering committee for the city <br />comprehensive plan update. He will review any committee progress and ask for input and any <br />suggestions and comments. <br />Enclosed is a copy of the results compiled by Jamie Radel on your July 1't meeting where you <br />discussed the Parks and Recreation Chapter, They were sent out to you shortly after the <br />meeting and prior to the steering committee meeting for your further review and any additional <br />suggestions, comments, etc. Enclosed are the final results that were subsequently approved <br />by the steering committee. <br />Requested Commission Action: Report, comments and suggestions <br />5. Master Plan Request for Proposal (RFP) Continued Discussion <br />Staff is continuing to move forward preparing a request for proposals (RFP) to lead the Parks <br />and Recreation System Master Plan effort. The RFP is important as it will outline a direction <br />and approach for the planning process. Enclosed is the rough draft of the components of an <br />RFP for your review and input and suggestions. It is the goal over the next month or so to <br />finalize and issue a RFP to obtain proposals. <br />Requested Commission Action: Provide comments, suggestions, etc, into the RFP for <br />Master Plan services <br />6. Pathway System Master Plan Review and Comment <br />For the past couple of months, the pathway committee has been working on updating the <br />Pathway Master Plan, Commissioner Brodt Lenz is your representative to the committee <br />Continued <br />
