We have enjoyed 'working with you on past projects such as the 2002 Roseville Parks.Natural Resource Management Plan. This is truly an exiting opportunity and we look forward to working with you in the future! Project Understand n2 The City of Roseville is an ever growing and developing community. Within this community lies a significant resource of wildlife habitat, scenic views, and educational opportunities. This resource is maintained and supported by the Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANG). The Nature Center provides the opportunity to experience, study and enjoy the natural world. It is host to many educational programs and recreational activities. Friends of Roseville's Harriet Alexander Nature Center (FORHANC) is an independent nonprofit organization which was created to support and fund the operations of the Nature Center. A Board of Directors oversees the Nature Center activities and participates in decision making processes. Recently, the City recognized the need for a comprehensive master plan for the Nature Center and surrounding area, as well as the geed to improve the ecological and habitat function of the Nature Center. Preliminary Coals In planning for the development and improvements of HANC, the City is seeking a participatory and well documented master planning process that reflects the vision of the project stakeholders and makes the most of the unique opportunities provided by this site. The ultimate master plan should provide a healthy balance of outdoor recreation opportunities, educational programming, and natural resource preservation and enhancement. Educational Programs and Facilities Currently, HANC is hast to a variety of seasonal children outreach programs. The Center is working with one neighboring school adjacent to the site. There is a great opportunity to expand the Nature Center's outreach to multiple surrounding schools and to include community adult St. PaUJ, St. Claud, Rochester.
