<br />PLEASE NOTE: Minnesota Law also provides that witnesses for the Defendant, if the court orders payment of witness fees,
<br />and all witnesses for the State, shall receive reasonable expenses actually incurred for meals, loss of wa~jes, and child care
<br />not to exceed $40 per day. Application for these incurred expenses, if any, should be made at the Court Administrator's office
<br />after you appear. If approved, expenses will be included a'nd mailed with your witness 'fees and mileage. (357.24)(357.241) .
<br />!PLEASE NOTE: In any proceeding where a parent or guardian attend~ the proceeding with a minor witness and the parent or
<br />guardian is not a witness, one parent or guardian shall be compensated in those cases where witness compensation is
<br />mandatory under sections 357.22, 357.24, or 357.241, and may be compensated at the discretion of the judge when the minor
<br />is a witness on behalf of a defendant in a criminal case or on behalf of a juvenile in a juvenile court proceeding. The court
<br />shaH award no more than a combined total of $40 to the parent 01' guardian and the minor witness. (M.S. 357.242) --
