The City has a policy to issue blanket minor variances for driveway sideyard setbacks in <br />conjunction with street work being done in the community. <br /> <br />2. In accordance with City policy, the following minor variance is presented for Council <br />approval. <br /> <br />a. Colleen Jahnel request for a 2 foot variance at 2117 Midlothian Road. <br /> <br />3. All affected property owners have consented to the variance request. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. To deny the variance and require the driveway to be installed with the proper 5 foot <br />setback. <br /> <br />2. Approve the variance as proposed. <br /> <br />Policy Objective: <br /> <br />1. To bring existing non-conforming driveways in conformance with the ordinance by either <br />granting a variance or requiring that they be installed with proper 5 foot setbacks. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City Council approve the blanket minor variance as requested. <br /> <br />Council Action Requested: <br /> <br />1.
