Director Approval: Agenda Section: Action Description: 2015 RHRA Budget Discussion Requested Action 1 2The RHRA should review the 2014 budget and discuss any other programming that needs to be 3included for 2015. 4 Budget Process 5 6Per State Statute 469.033, subdivision 6, the RHRA must formulate and file a budget each year 7in accordance with the budget procedure of the City and in the same manner as the executive 8departments of the City. 9 10To request a levy, the RHRA must adopt a resolution and a budget and present it to the City 11Council by September. Assuming approval, it will be included within the City budget and levy 12request that is submitted to Ramsey County in September. The City Council will hold hearings 13on all elements of the budget, including any proposed RHRA levy, in December 2014. 14 2015 RHRA Budget Discussion 15 16As part of preparing the 2015 RHRA budget, staff is providing 2014’s budget for a review of the 17programs that the RHRA currently administers. The budget process should also include a 18review of the 2012 – 2016 Strategic Plan and the 2014 Work Plan.
