Ms. Kay's Beauty Salon NARRATIVE 10/01/95 1 Size of current site. The salon is located in my basement. The dimensions are 24 feet by 10 feet. 2. Nature of Building. The salon is a section of the basement in my house. It has a private entrance in the backyard, with sidewalk laid from the driveway in front to around back. The house is located at 1160 Roselawn Ave.. This is between Lexington and Hameline Ave.; across the,street from Roseville Lutheran Church. 3. Proposed use of land and buildings. . To use basement space as a beauty salon. 4. Existing and Proposed zoning. Why requesting change. So I can establish a part-time beauty salon where I can advertise and set prices. 5. Description of your business, history of business, operations, number of employees, etc. My proposal for Ms. Kay's Beauty Salon is for a one station salon. The services I'll provide are hair cuts, permenants, colors, shampoo sets, bleaches and toners. The physical salon already exits because it was in use 10 years ago, for two years, serving the neighborhood. Advertising will be done by word of mouth and small handouts. There wi 11 be only one employee, myself. Business hours will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am - 5:00pm. 6 Proposed parking. I have a two lane driveway that can hold four cars easily. Also, Roseville Lutheran Church has given me verbal permission to use their parking lot. I estimate only 2 cars parked at a time. 7 8 Drainage. The liquid waste products, like shampoo rinses, will .drain thru the house plumbing. 9 10 Trash removal.
