<br />September 27, 1995 <br /> <br />To whom it may concern: <br /> <br />. I am requesting a variance to construct a fence sUIT<;mnding our children's play area. The <br />site was chosen because it is the only level, shady spot in the yard. <br /> <br />The most important reason for the fence is the safety of the children. With the near <br />abductions the Twin Cities experienced this past summer by strangers driving up to <br />children at play, we are deeply concerned, This fence would not only hide the children but <br />make it difficult for anyone to climb. <br /> <br />My second reason is an effort to be kind to our neighbors. Children's toys and play <br />equipment are not always attractive, This fence would screen these items from their view, <br />The fence would be very decorative, It would be constructed of cedar in a board on board <br />design, The posts would be six feet high with the swag tapering down to five feet <br />between each post. The fence would be even with the front of the house which is sixty-six <br />feet from Victoria.
