<br />the source of problems in the mall parking areas and adjacent residential neighborhoods. <br />In preparing for this hearing, public safety personnel research call-out information and <br />report that since January 1994, no incidents regarding Lava Links clientele have been <br />reported to the Roseville Police. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. Lava Links has been operating as an entertainment center in the Crossroads Shopping <br />Center since 1991. They currently are licensed for 36 amusement devices and would like <br />to increase that number to 50. To accommodate these additional devices, no additional <br />space will be required, although the pool tables will be eliminated. Lava Links has <br />indicated that the additional amusement devices will better serve their existing clientele. <br />The Police Department reports that since January of 1994, no incidents involving Lava <br />Links clientele have been reported. Based on this track record, and the fact that this <br />proposed amendment does not expand the use, but rather responds to existing clientele <br />needs, staff recommends approval of Scott Greseth/W elsh Companies request for an <br />amendment to a conditional use permit for an amusement center at 1665 W. County Road <br />B-2 to add 14 additional amusement devices. If this amendment is approved, the applicant <br />will also be required to license the additional games on site. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. The Planning Commission, at the November 8, 1995 meeting, unanimously <br />recommended approval of Scott Greseth/Welsh Companies request for an <br />amendment to a conditional use permit for an amusement center at 1665 W. County <br />Road B-2 as per the attached resolution. <br /> <br />Suggested Council Action: <br /> <br />1.
