For example, if the existing adjacent buildings <br />consists of one-story, brick and block, the design, bulk and massing of the new structures <br />should complement the character of the existing buildings. <br /> <br />Action 2- B Other Suggestions: <br /> <br />STRATEGY 3 <br /> <br />Encourage improvement of visual attractiveness of property, buildings, and public rights-of-way <br />and buffering around appropriate industrial uses. <br /> <br />Action 3-A <br /> <br />Create redevelopment opportunities for property owners and developers on sites which <br />are underused or not meeting current codes. "Underused" means buildings not covering at <br />least 25% of the site, and land value at or below the average for the study area. <br /> <br />Action 3-B <br /> <br />Identify contaminated sites, determine the extent of the problem, and identify remedial <br />actions to be undertaken to mitigate.
