<br />Action 3-C Other Suggestions: <br /> <br />STRATEGY 4 <br /> <br />Improve the balance between automobiles and other modes of transportation, such as transit, <br />bicycle and pedestrian. <br /> <br />Action 4-A <br /> <br />Require new projects to meet on-site parking requirements, sidewalks, and bus stops <br />supported by ITequent and direct bus service. Analyze the need for parking ramps and <br />City participation on all new "clusters II of redevelopment. <br /> <br />Action 4-B <br /> <br />While users are still available, continue to use and maintain the railroad tracks and right- <br />of-way parallel with the south side ofllCII. If the railroad right-of-way is vacated in the <br />future, a portion should be used for right-of-way expansion, with the remainder to be used <br />to add parking spaces on-site and to consolidate driveway entrances onto IICII. <br /> <br />Action 4-C <br /> <br />Encourage the continued and increased coordination of bus service between Rosedale and <br />the Tower Place Business Park via the Roseville Circulator and other MTC bus routes. <br /> <br />Action 4-D <br /> <br />Develop incentive programs which encourage employers to institute flexible working <br />hours, use transit, promote the use of park- and-ride lots, encourage car and van pooling, <br />improve transit service to provide more frequent buses and more direct routes, and use of <br />alternatives such as bicycles or walking. <br /> <br />Action 4-E <br /> <br />Install pathway/sidewalks improvements including paths separate ITom the roadway, <br />additional bicycle lanes within the roadway pavement, sidewalks and improved bicycle <br />parking facilities. Connect sidewalk systems where gaps occur. In addition, improve <br />signage for bus, parking, and pathway signage. <br /> <br />6 <br />
