County Road B-2. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Harms opened the public hearing. Community Development Director <br />Dennis Welsch provided a summary of the written staffreport dated 3/13/96. <br /> <br />John King, an attorney representing Ms. Schlief, spoke on behalf of the applicant and <br />stated the Schlief operation would be a well run and highly trained operation. There will <br />be no parking on the street. There is room for 4 vehicles in the driveway. Mr. King <br />suggested that the Planning Commission consider other uses or exceptions to the code. <br /> <br />Sandra Schlief asked if there were questions. She answered a question relating to the size <br />and stated that the beauty salon would be no more than 120 square feet in her home by <br />appointment only and with no signage allowed. <br /> <br />There was no further comment. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Katie Harms closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Member Rhody moved, seconded by Member Sandstrom to recommend <br />denial of Sandra Schlief s request for a conditional use permit request to establish a beauty <br />salon on the site located at 599 W. County Road C. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Katie Harms opened the public hearing and requested a staff report from <br />Dennis Welsch. Dennis Welsch summarized the written report submitted to the Planning <br />Commission dated 3/13/96. The staffrecommended approval of the conditional use <br />permit and the variance with 19 conditions. <br /> <br />Margaret Redmond, 1455 Rose Place, spoke in opposition to the conditional use permit <br />and variance stating there was not enough screening for the open space and a master plan <br />needed to be completed. In addition, the landscape turf area between the tree buffer and <br />the industrial area should be planted instead of being a forklift turnaround.
