<br />Community Development Department <br />March 25, 1997 <br /> <br />GO~J.. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Chris Berg: <br />clo Unoven Company <br />3850 North Wilke Road <br />Arlington Heights, 111.60004-1269 <br /> <br />VIOLATION NOTICE Sent via Fax and Mail <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Berg: <br /> <br />This is a violation notice pertaining to your facility located at 2163 Snelling Avenue North, <br />Roseville, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Violation # 1: <br />The violation cited is in connection with the City Code Sign (Section 1009.03M) which <br />states that a ground sign must be set back a minimum of 1/2 (15') the normal distance <br />(30') for a pylon sign. A pylon sign is considered a structure. All structures must be set back <br />30 feet from any property line in a business district unless a variance has been granted. <br /> <br />Violation #2: <br />In your case, the monument sign has been built without a completed, approved permit and <br />does not meet the 15 foot setback. <br /> <br />Violation #3: <br />Your contractors and site managers have been given notice by our building inspectors that <br />they have installed a non conforming light system under the canopy. This light system does <br />not meet the city code (Section 1010.12) because it diffuses light rather than casting the <br />light directly down on the surface.
