Ms. Pittroff'is seeking a conditional use permit to operate a one employee cosmetology salon in her home at 1655 Stanbridge Avenue. Following notification of the hearing, a number of neighbors have contacted City Hall. Of those who called, the majority were either in favor of the proposed use or did not have any concerns about it. Three of the callers did express concerns, however, and one neighbor has written a letter which is enclosed in your background report. Based on the limited scale of Ms. Pittroff's proposed operation, together with the indicated support of a number of her neighbors, staff recommends approval of Stacey Pittroff's request for a conditional use permit for a cosmetology salon in her home at 1655 Stanbridge Avenue subject to the conditions listed above. Council Action Reauested: 1. Motion to approve Stacey Jean Pittroff's request for a conditional use permit request to operate a cosmetology business from her home at 1655 Stanbridge Avenue and to approve a resolution (attached) with the following conditions: l'- -.. The hours of operation shall be 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p';m., Monday through Saturday. That the conditional use permit is issued to the applicant only and shall automatically expire upon the sale of the property. That there shall be no product sales on the site except sale of products to individuals at the time the service is rendered if appropriate.
