<br />site observation program that uses personnel from the County Public <br />Works Department, Public Health Department, and the woodview <br />detention facility on Kent St. Staff from Public Works and Woodview <br />routinely drive by the site as part of their regular duties, and <br />have been asked to notify the Environmental Health Section if site <br />maintenance is needed. Staff from the Environmental Health Section <br />also periodically drive by the site. <br /> <br />Per.mit condition #5: Site signage is approved subject to staff <br />approval with notations of a hot-line for citizen call-ins when <br />something unusual occurs. <br /> <br />Signs that include the telephone number for the Environmental Health <br />Section are posted year-round on the entrance and exit gates at the <br />site. <br /> <br />Following the last day of collection at the site in October of 1997, <br />a "Site Closed" sign was also posted near the site entrance gate. <br />On the sign post was a brochure dispenser with flyers promoting the <br />winter HHW operating schedule. Ramsey County now offers two <br />year-round HHW collection sites: at Superior Special Services <br />(formerly Dynex Industries, Inc.) in Mounds View, and at the Ramsey <br />County Recycling Center, 775 N. Rice Street in Saint Paul. The <br />recycling center site is open on Saturdays only, year-round. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />
