Sarkozy
Roseville City Manager
2660 City Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113

Re: Lake Owasso Safe Boating Association Ahn
Waterski Slalom & Jump Permit Application

Dear Sir:

It came to my attention at the April 8th, Council
meeting that the usual maps showing the general
location of the course and jump had not been submitted
along with the yearly permit application in recent
years.

Accompanying are maps and sketches with information
that may be helpful to the Council.

In deference to the neighbors, and in consultation
with a number of them, our group has abided by a 7:30
AM start on week days and an 8:30 start on weekends
during the past two years, contrary to implications
otherwise.

We also have a standing agreement with the neighbors
that the skier's turn balls will be removed when no
member of our group is using the course or in a
position to observe the course.

The slalom course is 850' long and requires a minimum
of approximately 250' to 300' on each end for setting
up the boat and skier. However, for noise abatement
procedures our people have elected to extend their
turns and setups further out into the lake.

The time required for two people to hook up the 6
skier's turn balls is approximately 10 to 15 minutes
(depending on light and water clarity). Hook up for
the complete course requires 3 people and about 45
minutes to 1 hour.

Please call me if there are any questions in regard to
this or any other related questions that may arise.
I will be out of town until April 17th.

j)~p-<-etf;/d,--

Deane R.
