<br />SECTION 700 <br /> <br />STREET AND CURB CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />701.0 GENERAL <br /> <br />These specifications include grading, base construction, pavement construction, <br />structures and miscellaneous construction in accordance with the requirements of the <br />contract. <br /> <br />Construction of street and curbs will be constructed as specified in the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for construction 1988 Edition as <br />modified, Division II Construction Requirements except where modified in the Roseville <br />Specifications for this particular project. <br /> <br />702.0 MATERIALS <br /> <br />The materials used in this work shall confonn to the requirements for kind and size of <br />material specified herein or as shown on the construction plans. <br /> <br />,>J <br /> <br />Before any installation, the CONTRACTOR shall submit a list of materials he is <br />proposing to use. This list shall be complete with catalogs, drawings, diagrams or any <br />other descriptive data that may be required to establish specification compliance. <br /> <br />Should the CONTRACTOR fail to submit a list of materials, the ENGINEER shall <br />reserve the right to select all items or omitted items on the required material list. Any <br />items selected by the ENGINEER shall be furnished and installed by the <br />CONTRACTOR without any changes in the contract price. <br /> <br />702.01 AGGREGATE BASE <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Aggregate base material and installation shall meet Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation Specifications 2211, Class 5, except that Class 5 shall be 100% crushed <br />quarry limestone. The aggregate base shall have the additional requirements that the' <br />Liquid Limit (LL) shall have a maximum value of25 and the Plasticity Index (PI) shall <br />be from 0 to 3. Limestone from the Platteville formation is not acceptable for aggregate <br />base material. <br /> <br />702.02 BITUMINOUS MATERIAL <br /> <br />] <br />J <br />J <br />J <br /> <br />The specifications for bituminous products shall confonn to the MnDOT specifications <br />and supplements. <br /> <br />703.0 CONSTRUCTION' <br /> <br />The construction requirements under this section shall confonn with "Construction <br />Requirements" of Minnesota Department of Transportation, Specifications, Division II <br />except as modified herein. <br /> <br />700-1 <br />
