<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on Tuesday, the 25th <br />day of June, 1996 at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Member <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING DENNIS BATTY/ROSEVILLE COVENANT CHURCH <br />REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE AT 2865 HAMLINE AVENUE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Roseville City Code Section 1004.02D3states that no structure shall exceed 30 <br />feet in height in an R-1 Single Family zoning district. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dennis Batty/ Roseville Covenant Church has requested a variance to allow a <br />46.5 foot high building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission recommended approval of such variance on <br />June 12, 1996. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Rosevil1e City Council conducted a public hearing on the requested variance <br />on June 25, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council has found that there are practical difficulties and <br />hardships present on this site including that the additional height is necessary to achieve correct <br />acoustics within the sanctuary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council has found that the variance is consistent with <br />previous City approvals for other churches in the City. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota (the "City"), Ramsey County, Minnesota, that a 16.5 foot variance to the <br />building height requirements in the R-1 zoning district as stated in Section 1004.02D3 is approved. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
