Store-Front Library <br />This option was discussed in a report to the Library Board <br />dated 6-27-91 entitled "Locating a Popular Library at the <br />Rosedale Center." If Rosedale, Dayton's or Har-Mar Mall were <br />to donate space, the Library Board would still have the <br />following expenses: <br /> <br />Capital and Set-Up Costs <br /> <br />$430,000 <br /> <br />Annual Operating Costs <br /> <br />$160,000 <br /> <br />2. "Depot" <br /> <br />It was suggested at the last Library Board meeting that a <br />"depot" for picking up and dropping off materials be located <br />in the Roseville area during the interim when the library was <br />closed. The following rough estimates of cost are based on <br />the assumption that space would be provided near the present <br />library site, at the Har-Mar Mall or at Rosedale and that the <br />"depot" would be open 50 hours weekly. <br /> <br />Capital and Set-Up Costs $100,000 <br />(Kiosk or small building, phones, <br />electrical, terminals, software, etc.) <br /> <br />Annual Operating Costs $100,000 <br />(3 FTE clerical staff, delivery, <br />utilities, maintenance, insurance, <br />etc. ) <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Book Drop <br />The assumption here is that the book drop would <br />near the present library site in leased space. <br />are rough estimates of cost: <br /> <br />be located <br />The following <br /> <br />Capital and Set-Up Costs <br />(Book drop, remodeling, sign, etc.) <br /> <br />$8,000 <br /> <br />Annual Operating Costs <br />(Pick up 14 times weekly, rental, <br />utilities, maintenance, etc.) <br /> <br />$20,000 <br /> <br />NOTE: FUNDS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE 1992 PROPOSED LIBRARY BUDGET FOR <br />ANY OF THE OPTIONS OUTLINED ABOVE.
